RIO’s light saltwater shock leaders feature a tough fluorocarbon shock tippet that protects the leader from teeth, gill plates and spines, and are ideal for snook, small tarpon and similar “problem” species. The main body of the leader is made with a stiff nylon that tapers down to 16lb before being tied to the shock tippet. Each leader is 10ft long and available with either 15lb, 25lb or 40lb fluorocarbon shock tippet.
